Manado, Swarakawanua.id – Michael Hampton suami dari Henny Hampton-Soetrisno yang merupakan warga negara Inggris menyebutkan Diseluruh dunia baik dipelosok manapun Sumber Mata Air dilindungi.
“Air itu sangat vital. Jadi, oknum-oknum di Pemerintahan yang mengeluarkan ijin termasuk developer mohon maaf saya katakan mereka itu serakah. Karena dimana pun sumber mata air itu dilindungi,” ujar Michael menggunakan bahasa Inggris dan ditranslate oleh Henny.
Iya pun kaget dengan kerakusan oknum-oknum dengan gagah berani merusak kelestarian Kawasan Lindung Hutan Mata Air Kolongan, Desa Sea, Kecamatan Pineleng, Kabupaten Minahasa.
Ia menjelaskan sebelum ikut bersama dengan Istrinya juga masyarakat Desa Sea Michael sudah terlebih dahulu memperlajari Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Minahasa dan Undang-undang lingkungan hidup.
“Saya kaget. Lingkungan hidup aturannya sangat jelas akan tetapi akibat rakusnya pihak developer sehingga dia dengan berani mengambil langkah untuk merusak kawasan lindung hutan mata air Kolongan yang notabene sebagai sumber kehidupan masyarakat Desa Sea,” ucap Michael.
Michael menyatakan ia akan terus memberikan dukungan kepada Masyarakat. Menurutnya, air adalah hal yang vital bagi kehidupan manusia.
“Pada setiap momen penting saya akan langsung terbang dari Inggris ke Indonesia terlebih khusus ke Desa Sea untuk memberikan support bagi Masyarakat. Hari ini saya datang karena mendengar kabar bahwa gugatan di PTUN masyarakat menang. Jadi, apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya bagi para hakim yang menangani perkara tersebut,” ucapnya.(Mesakh)

“Water is very vital. So, the elements in the government who issue permits, including developers, I’m sorry to say they are greedy. Because wherever the spring is protected,” said Michael using English and translated by Henny.
Yes, he was also shocked by the greed of individuals who dared to destroy the preservation of the Mata Air Kolongan Forest Protected Area, Sea Village, Pineleng District, Minahasa Regency.
He explained that before joining his wife, the people of Sea Michael Village had first studied the Minahasa Regional Regulations (Perda) and environmental laws.
“The environmental regulations are very clear, but due to the developer’s greed, he has dared to take steps to destroy the protected area of the Kolongan spring forest, which in fact is the source of life for the people of Laut Village,” said Michael.
Michael stated he would continue to provide support to the community. According to him, air is vital for human life.
“At every important moment, I will immediately fly from England to Indonesia, especially to Sea Village to provide support for the community. Today I came because I heard the news that the community had won the lawsuit at the PTUN. So, the highest appreciation goes to the judges who handled it. this matter,” he said.
